How to Use These Prompts

Copy any prompt into ChatGPT, Claude, Gemini, or another AI tool. Paste your list of page titles and URLs so the AI has something real to work with. Replace placeholders like [topic] and [page].

Link Opportunity Prompts

Suggest internal links for a page:

Here's a page: [paste content or summary]. Here are other pages on my site: [paste titles/URLs].

Suggest internal links to add to this page. For each: the destination page, the natural anchor text, and the sentence or section where it fits. Only suggest links that genuinely help the reader.

Find links from existing pages to a new page:

I just published a new page: [title + summary]. Here are my existing pages: [list].

Tell me which existing pages should link TO this new one, with suggested anchor text and where the link should go. This gives the new page inbound links from relevant content.

Audit a page’s existing links:

Here's a page with its current internal links: [paste].

Evaluate them: are they relevant, well-placed, and using good anchor text? Flag links that don't help, suggest better destinations, and point out obvious missing links.

Cluster Planning Prompts

Map a content cluster:

I want to build a topic cluster around "[pillar topic]". My audience: [describe].

Suggest: one pillar page, 6-10 supporting pages with their angles, and how they should link to each other and back to the pillar. Output as a simple map showing the linking structure.

Organize existing pages into clusters:

Here are my pages: [list titles/URLs].

Group them into topic clusters. For each cluster, identify the natural pillar page and the supporting pages, and note any cluster that's missing a pillar or feels thin. This shows me where to link and what to write next.

Plan links between sections of my site:

My site has these sections: [e.g., guides, tools, prompts, workflows, glossary]. Here's a page in one section: [paste/summarize].

Suggest cross-section links: for example, which glossary terms, tools, or workflows this page should link to. Give anchor text and placement for each.

Anchor Text Prompts

Write natural anchor text:

I'm linking from this sentence/context: [paste]. The destination page is about: [topic/title].

Give me 5 natural anchor text options that describe what the reader will get, ranging from short to descriptive. Avoid "click here" and avoid repeating the exact same phrase I've used elsewhere.

Vary anchor text across a cluster:

I link to this page from several articles: [destination page topic]. Here are the linking contexts: [paste a few].

Suggest varied, natural anchor text for each context so I'm not repeating identical anchors. Keep each relevant to its surrounding sentence.

Resource Section Prompts

Build a related-resources section:

Here's a page on [topic]. Here are my other pages: [list].

Pick the 4-6 most relevant pages for a "related resources" section, ordered by usefulness to this reader. For each, write a one-line description and the link label. Mix content types where it helps (guide, tool, workflow, prompt).

Connect guides, tools, prompts, and workflows:

This page is a [guide/tool/prompt/workflow] about [topic]. Across my site I also have [describe related guides, tools, prompts, workflows].

Suggest the natural connections: which related items to link, with anchor text and a one-line reason for each. The goal is a reader who lands here can move smoothly to the next useful resource.

Site Structure Prompts

Find orphan pages:

Here's my list of pages and roughly which pages link to which: [paste/describe].

Identify orphan pages (no inbound internal links) and weakly-linked pages. For each, suggest 2-3 existing pages that should link to it and the anchor text to use.

Improve overall site structure:

Here's my site's page list and rough structure: [paste].

Evaluate the structure: are related pages connected, is anything buried, and does the linking guide readers toward key pages? Suggest the 5 highest-impact structural improvements.

Plan a hub page:

I want a hub page that organizes everything about "[topic]" on my site. Relevant pages: [list].

Suggest the hub page structure: sections, which pages go where, short descriptions, and the order. The hub should help a reader navigate the whole topic from one place.
